COMMENT

A prime example of the recording quality not matching the show's quality. An extremely enjoyable One Nite Alone show and the 2nd of 3 in London. Unfortunately the recording is below par and suffers from a very intrusive audience level which is far too overpowering at times. The audience's roaring approval of Prince is touching, but really spoils what is one of the best shows from the European leg of the tour. Throughout the recording there are also a number of drop-outs, and whilst they are minimal they are also very frustrating. The first half of the show is a pretty straightforward One Nite Alone concert with a chant from '(I Feel Like) Bustin' Loose' added to '1+1+1=3' being the only exception. The second half is far superior and includes a stunning, and extremely rare performance of 'Power Fantastic' to kick off the encore section of the show. Unfortunately the recording is incomplete as the person taping the show gets up and walks out during 'Anna Stesia', however their equipment is left running and we are treated to (what appears to be them) heading straight for the toilet before the recording ends (thankfully just in time). Fans of the One Nite Alone tour would probably find a few positives in this release, however for most normal listeners I fear it would be a painful experience.
